TCF Canada exam topics: August 2026

Exam format · NCLC

These are the 4 themes candidates reported from the TCF Canada sessions of August 2026, one entry per section with what the format asked for and a note on preparing it. They are not the official questions: they are the families of topics that keep coming back, to practise under timing before your own session.

  1. Listening

Everyday services (appointments, invoices, public transport)

Short dialogues + one longer radio-style clip; numbers and times matter.

  2. Reading

    Workplace notices and housing ads

Scan for constraints (dates, eligibility) before detail questions.

  3. Writing

Formal email to an institution + short opinion paragraph

Register shifts: greeting, purpose, polite close.

  4. Speaking

Describe a past experience + argue a preference

Timed Studio drills + Coach Review for pronunciation and structure.

Next step: build a Path around the sections where these themes felt hardest, then alternate timed Studio with Memo vocabulary.
