Quick answer
The TEF Canada speaking section is 15 minutes with an examiner in 2 parts: first you obtain information about an advertisement by asking questions, then you present an offer to a friend and convince them to take part. Each part is scored on the 0–699 scale and converted to an NCLC level.

Section A: obtain information
Preparation · 30 sSpeaking time · 3 minAbout five minutes, including a short look at the document. You phone the person who placed an advertisement (a course, a rental, a job, an event) and ask what you need to know. The examiner only answers; you carry the conversation. Aim for about ten questions, varied in form and topic, in the formal "vous", in a natural order from the essentials (what, when, where, how much) to the details (conditions, next steps).

Section B: present and convince
Preparation · 1 minSpeaking time · 5 minAbout ten minutes. You have seen an offer and want a friend to take part with you. Present it clearly, give several arguments suited to that friend, and answer the objections the examiner raises. The register is informal to neutral; the mark rewards a real attempt to persuade, not a description of the offer.
How to practise
Practise section A by writing ten questions for any advertisement you see, then saying them without notes. Practise section B by listing three objections a sceptical friend would raise and answering each in two sentences.
In Studio, both sections run on the official timing with an instant evaluation; Coach Review adds an examiner’s annotations on your best recordings.
