Quick answer

These are the 4 themes candidates reported from the TEF Canada sessions of September 2026, one entry per section with what the format asked for and a note on preparing it. They are not the official questions: they are the families of topics that keep coming back, to practise under timing before your own session.

  1. Listening

Radio announcements and service messages: transport changes, opening hours

Note the numbers as you hear them; the question is often about the one that changed.

  2. Reading

Practical documents and press articles on health and the environment

Match each question to a kind of document first: a timetable, a notice, an article.

  3. Writing

An opinion letter to a newspaper on technology in learning

The argued task: state your position early and answer one counter-argument.

  4. Speaking

Asking an agency about a flat (price, conditions, steps) + convincing a friend to join an activity

Section A: aim for ten questions or more. Section B: three arguments, adapted to each objection.

Next step: build a Path around the sections where these themes felt hardest, then alternate timed Studio with Memo vocabulary.
